Participants can contribute through several meaningful service activities, both on-site and off-site. These opportunities are designed to make a real impact while fitting into your tournament schedule.

  • Bring the heat off the court and help cover cold feet in the community. New socks are one of the most needed items for people experiencing homelessness, and your team can help meet that need. A simple pair of socks can make a big difference.

    When? Wednesday, April 1 – Friday, April 3

    Where? Onsite – Drop off Socks at the NCVF Athlete Engagement Booth

    How to Participate: Bring new packages of socks and drop them at the collection location in the NCVF Athlete Booth.

    Time Commitment: Zero. Just show up with your donation.

    Conference Challenge Every pair counts toward your conference total. Top conference wins bragging rights + is recognized during the Championship Match on Saturday.

    Bonus Your team will receive one raffle ticket for every package of socks donated. Participate and earn a raffle ticket for 50% off next year’s tournament entry. Winner announced at the Championship Match.

  • Get in. Get involved. Make an impact. Help build hygiene kits that go directly to those in need through ShelterKC.

    When? Wednesday, April 1 | 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM

    Where? Onsite – CC Room 2503A

    What You’ll Do: ✔ Assemble hygiene kits ✔ Write encouragement notes that go inside each kit

    Time Commitment: 30-minute time slots—quick, easy, impactful.

    Bonus Participate and earn a raffle ticket for 50% off next year’s tournament entry. Winner announced at the Championship Match.

  • Small message. Big impact. Spread positivity across the city—one rock at a time.

    What You’ll Do: ✔ Paint rocks ✔ Add short, uplifting messages

    These rocks will be placed around the community to brighten someone’s day when they least expect it.

    Where? Onsite – CC Room 2503A

    Time Commitment: ~30 minutes (drop in anytime)

  • Take your impact to the next level. Step outside the tournament and serve directly with ShelterKC.

    When? Wednesday, April 1 & Thursday, April 2 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM (plus cleanup)

    Where? Offsite – Shelter KC (walking distance, a few blocks away from CC)

    What You’ll Do:

    ✔ Serve meals ✔ Help clean and reset sleeping areas ✔ Write encouragement cards ✔ Tour the facility ✔ Assist with donations

    Time Commitment: 1.5–2 hours

    Spots Are Limited: Only 1–2 teams total—first come, first served.
